German-American Charles Bukowski (1920-1994) and Canadian Al Purdy (1918-2000), both poets and authors of fiction, compiled their letters sent to one another from 1964-1974. The book chronicles a period of their long-standing friendship as well as offering the reader insight to their own creative processes as they share their experiences as writers.
