by Philip Kerr
I get it when coaches keep asking for drills and games, even when I tell them they may not need any more than they already have. People always crave new stuff. Games and drills help us deliver coaching sessions, but they'll never be as important as how we use them and how we work with players. This is a book filled with short reflections. Many describe things that worked and some focus on things that didn’t. The book isn't laid out in chapters. It doesn't have themes with plentiful examples. It has more of a lucky dip feel to it. You won’t know what to expect, but you’ll be happy to keep reaching in until you find something interesting.
