Trotsky's Diary in Exile, 1935

Trotsky began this diary in 1935, during one of his most difficult periods in exile. The French authorities had banished him to a small alpine village, where he had to live incognito, cut off from friends and supporters. It ends with Trotsky's move to Norway, where the social democratic government granted him a temporary visa.
