The Tumor A Non-Legal Thriller

The Tumor is published by the Focused Ultrasound Foundation. It follows the present day experience of a representative, fictional patient (Paul) - a middle-aged father, diagnosed with a brain tumor. The author provides his account of what a patient can expect after diagnosis, including treatments and one family's experience of a bad outcome. Grisham then explores an alternate future outcome, where Paul is diagnosed with the same brain tumor at the same age, but in the year 2025, when a treatment called focused ultrasound enables him to extend his life expectancy.
