Overview

A man's wife dies unexpectedly in an accident. They have been married for 20 years and have a child. But both are in love with their work: he's a jewelry designer and she is a social worker. They have a maid and a nanny, but they are both disengaged, from each other and from their family. The wife is "fond" of her husband and child. The husband is married to the only woman he has ever loved. But they have never had a single heart to heart talk in their entire married life. Trying desperately to pull himself together after the tragedy that has shattered his life, the husband begins to follow the trail of his wife's activities. He makes some unwelcome discoveries and suffers the fate of growing up, at last, well into middle age.
