Shadows on the Darker Side

In the parts of Orlando where tourists never go, Robert Silencer plies his trade as Central Florida's top private investigator. Bitter and disillusioned, Silencer had resigned from the DEA two years ago. But now, an old friend tries desperately to get him to return. Unable to trust anyone under his own command, William Singleton, the chief administrator of the DEA for all of Florida, begs Silencer to take on one last case. Reluctantly, Silencer agrees and starts off on a mission to find Kari Kristensen, a Norwegian national who has disappeared on the streets of New York. She alone holds the key for bringing down the Cartel's latest cocaine distribution network. When Silencer agreed to take on the case, he knew he'd be facing lots of danger. What he didn't count on was falling in love. With a two-million-dollar bounty on their heads, Silencer leads Kari on a cross-country odyssey, trying to stay one step ahead of the Cartel's hired assassins. They must track down one of the Cartel's top leaders, a man known only as Labul, and take him out. It's their one and only chance of survival.
