Aleister Crowley was an English painter, writer, poet, occultist, and ceremonial magician. He wrote this essay in 1918, while sitting at his favorite 'Old Absinthe House' in New Orleans. This book is a first edition of the original essay written in English combined with a parallel Russian translation.
