Bram Stoker

Irish novelist and theatre manager Bram Stoker (1847–1912) reshaped Gothic fiction through Dracula, a story assembled from journals, letters and reports. Dracula's Guest condenses the atmosphere of travel, exposure and supernatural danger into a shorter form, while The Lair of the White Worm turns an English landscape into the site of an ancient threat. The Jewel of Seven Stars brings archaeology, possession and experimental science together around an Egyptian mystery.
